Privacy Policy

The short version

Mugurdy does not require an account, does not build advertising profiles, and does not sell data. There are no analytics scripts, no tracking pixels and no advertising cookies on this site. Searches you submit are processed by Niguro, the search engine behind Mugurdy.

Searches

When you submit a search, your browser sends your query directly to Niguro's search service — for example, niguro.com/search/result?q=your+words. We do not see, store or associate that query with you, because there are no accounts on Mugurdy. Niguro's handling of search data is governed by Niguro's own policies, and we encourage you to read them.

Search suggestions

As you type in the search box, this site requests completions from a public suggestion service operated by Google (Google Suggest). The partial text you have typed is sent to that service so it can return matching suggestions. No account or identifying information is attached to these requests by us. If suggestions fail to load — for example because of a network problem or a content blocker — the search box continues to work normally. You can also disable scripts: the search form is a plain HTML form that submits to Niguro whether or not JavaScript runs.

Local storage, not cookies

Mugurdy stores exactly one preference in your browser's localStorage: whether you chose the light or dark theme. It is kept on your device, is not readable by us, and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings. We set no cookies of our own.

Fonts and hosting

Pages here use web fonts served by Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com when a page loads. Like all web requests, that request necessarily reveals your IP address and user agent to the service handling it. The site itself is served by our hosting provider, which processes standard, non-identifying technical data — such as IP address, browser type and the page requested — to deliver pages and keep the service secure. Server logs are retained by the hosting provider under its own policy.

Links to other sites

Results pages, and some links on this site, take you to services we do not control. Once you follow a link, the privacy policy of that destination applies.

Third parties in brief

• Niguro — receives and processes every search you submit from Mugurdy.
• Google Suggest — receives the partial text you type while suggestions are enabled.
• Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on this site.
• Our hosting provider — serves the pages and keeps standard request logs.

Children

This site is a general-purpose search front-end and is not directed at children. We knowingly collect no personal information from anyone.

Your rights

Because we hold no account data and no analytics history about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete. For data held by Niguro or Google as a result of using their services, contact those providers directly.
